Got a celebration coming up? Need a break from a stressful week? Or are you just craving for a fancy lunch? Whatever the reason, it’ll be worth your while to drop everything to experience a world-class steak lunch at Wolfgang Steak House. Does Wolfgang ring a bell? If you’re thinking of that international restaurant that was named after Wolfgang Zweiner, then you’re right! Read about its history here.

Wolfgang currently has 19 locations worldwide, including 2 branches here in the Philippines: one in Resorts World Manila, and one in Podium (soon, there will be one in BGC, too!). We visited their branch at Podium, which can seat 25 guests.
What makes them special is the core of it all: the meat they use for their steak.  All locations exclusively serve USDA Prime Black Angus or Angus Beef. Only 2% of the beef in the US market attain USDA Prime rating. They fly in the meat weekly and dry-age premise for an average of 28 days to enhance the tenderness and flavor of the beef.
We tried the two best-selling lunch sets on their menu: Taste of New York and Wolfgang Experience. Here’s our take for each lunch set:
Taste of New York

This set comes with 400g USDA Prime Dry-Aged Sirloin Steak, Mashed Potatoes, and Creamed Spinach. After tasting this, there was no wonder in my mind as to why Wolfgang’s reputation is renowned for how they serve steak; it’s really good!

It’s best accompanied with these sides.

A delectable New York Style Cheesecake awaits after the main course.
Wolfgang Experience
If this is your first time at Wolfgang, we’d highly recommend starting with this lunch set.

First, they served us a Seafood Taster, a Caesar Salad with Sizzling Canadian Bacon, and Beef Barley (the soup of the day).

The seafood taster included tuna tartar, a lobster salad and a jumbo shrimp cocktail which served as the appetizer. It teased my tongue and the flavors of the lobster salad got me really excited for the steak.

It was hard not to be amazed when they served the entrée, a 600g USDA Prime Dry-Aged Rib Eye Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach for the sides.

Quick survey: how do you like your steak?

The dessert of the day? Key Lime Pie with an enormous serving of whipped cream on the side. This lime pie is the best of its kind that I’ve tasted so far! Its tangy, moderate sweetness will make you ask for more.

Their menu also consists of ala carte dishes from salads to soups to seafood to pasta to poultry if you’d like something other than steak. A wide array of wine choices is also present to complement your meals.
So, if you’re up for a special lunch, have it at Wolfgang Steak House and experience world-class fine dining.
